Dr. Zach Alleman’s Experience and Training

Dr. Zach Alleman grew up in The Colony, Texas, a suburb north of Dallas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University and pursued his dental training at Baylor College of Dentistry.

After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2014, he completed a residency at both Children’s Health Dallas and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Interacting with these incredible hospitals gave him extensive training in working with children with special healthcare needs, where he learned to manage their unique needs and achieve dental health.

Pediatric Dentistry of the Rockies is a perfect fit for Dr. Zach, who has always been surrounded by kids. He is the fifth of eight children, father of two, and uncle to 25 nieces and nephews. He loves providing quality and fun treatment to ensure each child gets off to a terrific start with their oral health.

When Dr. Zach isn’t in the office, he likes to spend time outdoors with his family. He enjoys cycling and playing basketball, tennis, and volleyball. He’s also an avid reader.

Dr. Zach and his family are excited to call Fort Collins home.

What Dr. Zach Alleman says about being a kids dentist in Fort Collins

What inspired you to specialize in pediatric dentistry?

“I have always been interested in working with kids. I didn’t even know pediatric dentistry was a thing until I was in dental school and I knew that was my future.”

How do you approach being a kids dentist working with anxious children or children who have special healthcare needs in Fort Collins?

“With a lot of patience and understanding. It is easy to understand that a kiddo would be nervous in a new environment with new people. Our goal is always to help keep the mouth healthy but to do it in a way that builds trust and confidence of the kiddo in the dental environment.”

Are you involved in any community organizations or volunteer programs?

I am very involved in my church and serve in leadership roles there. I also have been very involved in organized dentistry at the state level. I served on the board of Trustees for the Colorado Dental Association for 3 years and on the Board of the Colorado Dental Political

What do you hope every child and parent takes away from their visit with you?

That they are important and valued, and encouraged to keep up with their dental health.
